Jenna Needham
Intern
Jenna Needham is the Data Intern for Kids and Car Safety. Jenna is particularly interested in using data to answer complex social science questions about behavior, social trends, and the youth.
Jenna is currently helping the team with outreach on state-level data for nontraffic incidents. She serves as a KACS contact for this data collection and overview.
She began pursuing research during her sophomore year as a research assistant in TCNJ’s Justice and Blameworthiness Lab (JABLab). Through JABLab, she has contributed to research on hot car death incidents, analyzed national survey data on vehicle submersion emergencies, and is currently co-authoring a paper on vehicle submersion knowledge and preparedness. She also presented her research at regional and national conferences.
She hopes to pursue a career in data analytics, using data to better understand social trends and public policy, with the goal of informing evidence-based policy change.
