Every year, thousands of children are injured or killed in preventable incidents in and around vehicles. At Kids and Car Safety, we believe that change happens when caring people come together to education, advocate, listen, and take action.
Whether you have lived experience, a passion for child safety, or simply a desire to help families during some of their most difficult moments, there is a place for you here. Volunteers are the heart of our mission and your time and compassion can truly save lives.
We recognize that many of our volunteers come to this work from a place of personal loss or connection. Your pace, comfort, and emotional safety always come first.
Ways to Volunteer
We offer a variety of flexible opportunities whether you want to be engaged occasionally or more regularly.
- Help raise public awareness by sharing information, supporting campaigns, or sharing your family’s story (if you choose).
- Support efforts to strengthen safety laws and protect children through advocacy campaigns, organized action days, or by contacting legislators. No prior advocacy experience is needed. We will guide you through every step.
- Help us bring life-saving information to families, communities, and professionals by distributing safety materials to hospitals, birthing centers, schools, child care facilities, and local agencies. Represent Kids and Car Safety at community events or support webinars and training sessions.
- Support behind-the-scenes operations that keep our mission strong by helping with projects like data entry, information tracking, organizing materials, or assisting with research, event planning, or fundraising.
