Chloe Burke
Data Manager
Chloe Burke is the Data Manager for KACS. Chloe has a passion for data and research with a specific focus in child welfare.
Chloe is currently wrapping up her senior year at The College of New Jersey (TCNJ). She is a sociology major with minors in criminology and psychology. Starting next semester, Chloe will be starting her graduate degree at TCNJ in public policy.
Chloe got her start in research as a research assistant for the Justice and Blameworthiness Lab (JABLAB) at TCNJ. During her freshman year, she joined the team that utilizes KACS’s data to analyze patterns in the prosecution of parents in hot car death incidents, with a focus on the intersection of gender, class, and race. Chloe recently wrapped up her second internship with the Department of Children and Families in (DCF) in New Jersey. Her first internship in the Spring of 2025 was a research internship for the Police-Youth Initiative (PYI), which was to help build trust between the police and youth who live in urban neighborhoods. The second internship in the Fall of 2025 was a research internship for the Kinship Navigator Program (KNP), which was to financially and emotionally help families who were fostering children whose biological parents were struggling with substance abuse, incarceration, etc.
Extensive exposure in both quantitative and qualitative research along with a background in working with KACS’s data led her to the data position she holds now.
