Consumer Reports, through its Consumers Union policy and advocacy arm, has joined safety advocates in filing a lawsuit against the U.S. Department of Transportation today, asking a court to order the agency to promptly issue a safety rule mandated by Congress in 2008 to set federal standards on vehicles’ rear visibility.
