We the undersigned, concerned about the alarming number of people who are trapped accidentally or intentionally in car trunks, petition automobile manufacturers to install trunk release mechanisms inside the trunks of all vehicles as standard equipment. If automobile manufacturers fail to do it voluntarily, the government should require them to install such devices.
