Special Announcement

ABC Primetime will be airing a special tonight (11/25/02) entitled "Trapped: The Ultimate Survival Challenge." It airs before Monday night football on the East Coast and after the football game on the West Coast.

There will be a segment about how to escape if you are trapped in a car trunk.

We are elated that all 2002 model vehicles (and newer) have a trunk release installed in the trunk compartment; but if you have a car without a trunk release--find out how to get out alive.

Other News

The National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) has issued a "Notice of Proposed Rulemaking" that will make it mandatory for all new vehicles in the United States to be equipped with a trunk release inside the trunk by January 1, 2001.

The 60-day comment period is from December 15, 1999-February 15, 2000. You can write to NHTSA and express your opinions about the trunk entrapment issue.

This is a surprisingly simple, but incredibly important thing to do!!!!
