While the Tri-state celebrated Independence Day, an Amelia neighborhood was reeling
after news that a neighbor's child died Monday.
Four-year-old Andy Jones died after he climbed into the family car on a hot,
muggy afternoon.
Police call it a "tragic accident."
Emergency crews were called to the home after the child's father discovered him
in the car unconscious.
The child had allegedly gone inside the car to play with his Gameboy.
Although the child was taken to a nearby parking lot where Air Care could land
to take him to the hospital, he was never put into the helicopter.
It was too late.
The Clermont County Sheriff's Department is now investigating the case.
An autopsy is planned for Tuesday.
