NAMPA -- Police released the name of a 7-year-old girl who died Tuesday after being run over by a truck driven by her father.

Daisy Murillo was killed when she was unable to get out of the way of a truck that was backing up, Nampa Assistant Chief Bill Augsburger said. The driver of the truck was identified as Julian Murillo, 30, of Nampa.
The incident occurred just after 4 p.m. Tuesday along Yellow Pine Drive in the Evergreen Mobile Home Park located along Nampa-Caldwell Boulevard in Nampa.
Investigators said Daisy Murillo and her older brother were in the bed of a pickup while the child's father was backing toward a garbage Dumpster. When the driver momentarily stopped, the children stepped off the truck. The child was hit by the truck's wheel when the vehicle started to back up again.
Daisy Murillo attended 1st grade at East Canyon Elementary School.
The Idaho Press-Tribune contacted the family but they declined to comment.
Augsburger said the father was devastated by the ordeal. The driver was not aware the children had left the bed of the pickup when he continued moving backward, he said.
No criminal charges are expected to be filed.
" The investigation is mostly complete," Augsburger said. "I think it's safe to say we don't expect prosecution in this case."
